10 | Movie censorship, what’s that for?

This is a serious topic which contradicts the modern era in which people are free to receive without any barriers. Besides, it is such an insult to the audiences who are believed to be ignorant and lack of discretion to consider. Movie censorship is not a creative proper way to solve the problem, in my opinion.

Providing movie’s fact that whether it is a fiction or based on true story before the movie starts is too enough. Cutting some scenes by claiming its inappropriate content which is against one’s belief or fact is somewhat narrowed-minded. The objective of the movie is to express one’s idea toward the story which is one opinion toward the world, there’s no need to be correct and make it acceptable to the universal.

In order to cut or not to cut the scene, the absolute right should go to the director who is well considered and planned how the movie will come out the best. Those who are responsible for the movie censorship should respect the creator and the audience more. Movie is a piece of arts which need no barrier to stop imagination; this is the fact that should be concerned more.

Avoiding violent scenes or risks scene for children, it’s the direct responsibility of the parents who should be more aware and guide their children rather than leave it in the hands of movie censorship which can help only a little. Parental advisory effectively works more than movie censorship.
